Students using Yup on Chrome (student.yup.com) are able to submit a problem to Yup in three ways, one of which is: Capture a screen.
Please see below instructions for installing the extension, starting a session with a screenshot and sharing a screen capture during a session.
This allows students to send a screenshot directly to a Yup tutor to start a session or during a session.
How to install the Yup Screenshots Chrome Extension
To install the extension, log in to student.yup.com and click the Capture a Screenshot button.
You will get a prompt to install the Yup Chrome Extension link.
You’ll be directed to the Chrome Web Store where you can add the extension to Chrome.
Click Add to Chrome.
Make sure to pin the extension.
How to start a Yup session with a screen capture
Click the Capture a Screenshot button.
Install the Yup Chrome Extension. For instructions, see How to install the Yup Screenshots Chrome Extension
Switch to the tab where you want to take a screenshot and click on the pinned Yup Chrome Extension.
You’ll have the option to draw a rectangle around the area you want to capture.
Once done, you can request a math tutor.
How to share a screen capture during a Yup session
Click on the screen capture button to share a screenshot of your problem.
Switch to the tab where you want to take a screenshot and click on the pinned Yup Chrome Extension.
You’ll have the option to draw a rectangle around the area you want to capture.
Click Upload Photo to share the screenshot with your tutor.
