Once you’ve signed up for a Yup plan, you will receive an activation email or text with instructions on how to get started. Next, please follow these instructions to start using Yup.
If your Yup account is associated with your school, follow these instructions to sign in using your email address.
- If you want to use Yup on your smartphone or tablet, download the Yup App from the App Store (iOS) or the Google Play Store (Android). If you want to use Yup on your laptop or Chromebook, go to https://student.yup.com/.
- Enter the email address you used to sign up to receive a 4-digit verification code that is emailed to that address. Typically, this will be your school student email address.
You should receive the email with the subject line “Yup: Confirm your email” with a code usually within 30 seconds, however, sometimes it can take a couple of minutes.

If you signed up using a phone number:
- Download the Yup App from the App Store (iOS) or the Google Play Store (Android) or go to https://student.yup.com/ to log in.
- Enter the phone number you use to sign up to receive a 4-digit verification code texted to your phone. Typically, the verification code text arrives within 1 minute.
- Once you’ve received your verification code, enter it into the app (on smartphone/tablet) or website (on laptop/Chromebook)
- Enter your first and last name.
